Wineglass Marathon is pleased to announce that registration for the 2015 Wineglass Weekend is now open.

Runners may register online at for the 34th Annual Wineglass Marathon, 5th Annual Wineglass Half Marathon and Wineglass 5K, a popular warm up race and celebrated community event ran on October 3. Both the full and half marathons will be run on October 4.

The 34th annual Wineglass Marathon, presented by Arnot Health, is once again expected to attract a record field. The 2014 Wineglass Marathon drew runners from 43 states and eight countries. The event was also named a top destination race and #10 of the World's Top 25 Marathons, courtesy of The Active Times.

Enjoying similar momentum, the wildly popular Wineglass Half Marathon, presented by Seneca Lake Wine Trail, is expected to draw well over 3,000 runners, many of whom will participate in their first half marathon event.

"We encourage everyone, leisure runners and competitive athletes alike, to register for the Wineglass event of their choosing as early as possible, before slots become full," said Mark Landin, Wineglass Marathon Co-Director.

The Wineglass continues to become a major event within the running community, as well as a popular getaway for running groups. The scenic 26.2 mile course winds through the Finger Lakes region and ends on Corning's historic Market Street. Known for being flat, fast and well organized, the

Wineglass is very often the race of choice for runners wishing to post qualifying times for the Boston Marathon.

"Whether you're in wine country for rest and relaxation or trying to achieve a personal record, there's a place for everyone in this marathon," added Sheila Sutton, fellow Wineglass Marathon Co-Director. "We're very excited to welcome more and more runners into the Wineglass community."

The 2015 Wineglass weekend begins October 2nd during the Wineglass Expo/Packet Pick-up at the Corning Museum of Glass. Both the half and full marathons will be run Sunday, October 4th.
