Countdown to 2021

40th Guthrie Wineglass Marathon - October 3, 2021

Wineglass Weekend

UPDATE -  Mask policy for  in-person Wineglass Weekend race events

Masks will be required by everyone in all indoor spaces.

Masks will be required by everyone when riding the bus.

Volunteers will be required to wear masks while volunteering indoors or outdoors whenever they are near other people. If volunteers are doing a solitary job outdoors or alone outdoors and moving from location to location, they will not be required to mask. Volunteers must have a mask available in case their situation changes.

Runners will not be required to mask on course. We recommend runners keep their mask with them and consider wearing it if they cannot maintain distancing while at water stations, medical tents, or at on-course portajohns.

Masks may be removed while eating or drinking. Distancing should be maintained where possible.

We have worked hard to be thoughtful as we have planned this year's race events and strive to offer everyone an enjoyable experience. Thank you for helping keep our community safe.

Welcome!  The course is fast. Very fast. Personal records tend to fall here. Beyond the chance for a PR, the speed also makes Wineglass one of the top spots to qualify for the Boston Marathon.  And the early autumn scenery is stunning.  These are just a few of the reasons runners love the Wineglass. Part of the reason why Wineglass has been named one of the top 10 Destination Races in the world and why runners voted it the Best Marathon in New York State in 2018 (RaceRave).

Wineglass is about more than the miles. For the folks who run the event, for the people who live here, for the thousands of volunteers, it’s not about the race as much as it is about the runners and the experiences they have. The experiences you have! It’s about having something special we can’t wait to share with the world.

Our Mission is to successfully execute road races that provide a great runner experience, highlight our region, and give back to the community.

Celebrating its 40th year, the Guthrie Wineglass Marathon is a must do destination race! A point-to-point course, the full marathon starts in Bath, NY, traveling the valley to Savona, Campbell (where the half marathon starts), onto Coopers Plains, Painted Post and finishing on historic Market Street in Corning, NY.

Wine tasting, local breweries, shopping or visiting one of our world-famous museums, running with us offers an array of things to do and experience. Seeking to run your first marathon, a PR, or a Boston Qualifier — the Guthrie Wineglass Marathon is the perfect race. The Guthrie Wineglass Marathon starts at 8:15 am on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

The Wegmans Wineglass Half Marathon is celebrating its 11th year! This very popular event has sold out every year. The Wegmans Wineglass Half Marathon starts at 7:45 am on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

As a point-to-point course, and due to safety requirements, ALL runners must take a bus to the start of both the full and half marathons. When registering, runners will need to choose whether they will take the bus from Bath (Pulteney Park) or Corning (Tioga Avenue) on race morning

The Corelle 5K is celebrating its 9th year running! This great family friendly 5k is held Saturday, October 2, 2021. It is a great warm up event for anyone running the full and half marathoner on Sunday.

2021 USATF Sanctioned Event

The Guthrie Wineglass Marathon is a USATF Certified Course & 2021 Sanctioned Event and used by many runners as a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
