The Wineglass Marathon
Our Mission: To successfully execute road races that provide a great runner experience, highlight our region and give back to the community.
Celebrating the 37th year of the Wineglass Marathon, located in the heart of the Finger Lakes, is a must do destination race! A point to point course, the full marathon starts in Bath, NY, traveling the valley to Savona, Campbell where the half marathon starts, onto Coopers Plains, Painted Post and finishing on historic Market Street in Corning, NY. Wine tasting, local breweries, shopping or visiting one of our world famous museums, running with us offers an array of things to do and experience.
The Wineglass Half Marathon is celebrating its 8th year! This very popular event has sold out every year - selling out in April for 2017. The Corelle 5K held Saturday, September 29, 2018 is a great family friendly event which gives the full and half marathoners a chance to warm up for Sunday's event.
As a point-to-point course, and due to safety requirements, ALL runners must take a bus to the start of both the full and half marathons. When registering, runners will need to choose whether they will take the bus from Bath (Pulteney Park) or Corning (Tioga Avenue) on race morning. Bath is the start of the full marathon. Corning is the finish line. The distance by bus to the half marathon start line is the same from either Bath or Corning. This information helps us plan for the number of buses needed at each location. Buses will return runners to the Bath bus pick up location at regular intervals after the race.
