Corning, NY – After selling out the Half Marathon in record time, race organizers of the 36th Annual Wineglass Marathon announced the Full Marathon, set for October 1st, is also SOLD OUT with 2,700 registered runners. This year's event boasts an elite field of male and female runners promising an exciting race, said Race Director, Sheila Sutton. The waitlist is now open to runners who wish to participate. Full Marathon VIP Package spots are still available.
In a recent article in Women's Running Magazine, "10 Reasons This Beautiful Little Marathon Is To Die For," The Wineglass Full Marathon was touted as being a "PR Machine," having "Killer Swag," and making runners feel "Right At Home," all while taking place in a "Vacation Worthy," destination.
"Much like the Half Marathon, the combination of the area's fast, flat and scenic fall views from Bath to Corning as well as a variety of shopping, wineries and museums makes the Full Marathon a favored destination race," Sutton said. "We have runners representing 48 states and 10 countries."
