- All Runners in the Marathon and Relay will receive a Wineglass Marathon long sleeve high-tec shirt (Asics). We will be providing both Men's and Women's shirt style/fit again this year! Please note your size based on the this information.
- All runners also receive a split of Pleasant Valley (Great Western) NYS Brut Champagne with commemorative silk-screen Wineglass Marathon logo and race date along with a commemorative Wineglass Marathon "wineglass" (new for 2010!).
- Finishers for both the Marathon and Team Relay receive unique glass finishers medal (Marathon Finisher Medals) made by Hands-On-Glass in Corning, NY. Marathon finishers also get an official finisher certificate card from the Wineglass Marathon by mail after the event.
Refreshments after the race near the Finish Line area include Pizza (Rico's NY Style Pizza); Polly-O String Cheese (Kraft Foods); Coke and Powerade products (Elmira Coca Cola); Culligan water (Sport Bottles); Bagels, cookies, bananas and of course chicken soup (Wegmans); and NYS Apples (Beartown Peaches and Cream). Massage and Medical are also located at the finish line area. Showers are available at the Corning YMCA (nearby the Finish area......at about mile 26.0 of the course).
- Buses: Because the Wineglass course is a point-to-point race, the best option for runners traveling without a non-running driver is to park at the Finish and take a bus to the start in the morning. This way you will not have to wait until the afternoon for buses to go back to the starting line to get your car.
Buses for the Marathon and Relay are available before the race from the Finish Line parking area near Centerway Square to the Start Line at Philips Lighting from 5:45 to 7:00am. Buses are FREE to all runners. This includes a late day bus from the finish to the start which will leave at 2:30 pm.
Buses to the two Relay Exchange Points are available at the Start Line and from Relay Exchange Points to the finish line (again, there is no fee for these buses).
The Wineglass Marathon is proud to announce that a portion of the proceeds from runner entry fees this will again be donated toward two (2) organizations that support the health and well being of people in the Southern Tier region of upstate New York. The organizations designated to receive donations this year include:
The Greater Steuben Red Cross http://www.gs-arc.org/
Health Ministries of the Southern Tier http://www.sthealthministry.com/
Thanks for participating in the Wineglass Marathon and Marathon Team Relay and helping us, help others at the same time!
