The 8th annual GlassFest 8K, presented by The Community Foundation, will run on May 27, 2017.
The 8th annual Glassfest 8K, presented by The Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning & The Southern Finger Lakes, is a wonderful family friendly event. Challenge yourself to a non-standard distance (the course is measured at 8K or 4.96 miles) and stay for all of the great GlassFest events in Downtown Corning's Gaffer District. The 8th annual GlassFest 8K will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 8:30am. All race finishers will receive a handmade glass medal, made locally by Hands-On Glass Studio.

Age Group Awards
First, second and third place finishers in the age groups listed below will receive a commemorative tile. Age Group Awards will be presented beginning at 10:00 AM.
Awards not picked up will not be shipped to winners. We will make the awards avaliable for pick up Saturday, Sunday and Monday of GlassFest Weekend at the Corning Information Center on Market St.

Where and when can I pick up my race bib?
Bibs may be picked up on Friday, May 26th from 12:00-6:00 pm at the Corning Information Center, 1 W. Market St., Corning, or on race day from 7:00-8:15 am at the Corning War Memorial Stadium. The race starts at 8:30 am.
Can I register the day of the Race (8K)?
Yes, if we haven't sold out. Race day registration is open 7:00 - 8:00 am at the Corning War Memorial Stadium. You can also register at bib pick up Friday, May 26th from 12:00-6:00 pm at the Corning Information Center, 1 W. Market St., Corning. The race starts at 8:30 am.
Where does the GlassFest 8K start and finish?
The race starts and finishes at the Corning War Memorial Stadium, Jacoby Blvd, Corning, NY.
Where can I park?
There is plenty of parking at the Corning-Painted Post High School (see the map above), or the Corning YMCA.
Can I run with a stroller?
Yes, but all runners with strollers will start at the back of the pack.
Do you allow walkers in the 8K?
Yes, we do allow walkers in the race.
Can I bring my dog to run with me?
No, dogs are not allowed in the race.
Can I wear headphones on the course?
We strongly discourage the wearing of music devices. Participants must be alert to their surroundings and able to hear medical emergency vehicles, official race vehicles and the bike support team. For your safety and the safety of those around you, we strongly urge you to run headphone-free.
How many water stations are on the 8K course?
The course has 2 water stations.
