Wineglass Weekend Experiences

Make it a mini-vacation and enjoy a sampling of what our region has to offer!

Wineglass Marathon Weekend Experiences are open to runners, guests and anyone who wants to join the fun of having a sampling of what the Finger Lakes region has to offer! Please note that the tours are limited to participants age 21 and older.


Vine, Wine & Dine on East Seneca Lake

This tour focuses on four wineries that produce beautifully crafted Vinifera wines on the eastern shores of Seneca Lake along with a unique tasting lunch experience. On this tour, guests will have the opportunity to experience some of best wine from the region. At each winery, guests will taste multiple vintages and sites of different varietals, exploring first hand the effects of seasonal variation, age and terroir in each glass.

The western shores of Seneca Lake are home to some of the most well-respected wine-makers in the Finger Lakes. On this tour, you will learn their stories and taste the outcome of their commitment and passion to their craft.

Through the Tasting Glass: The Wondrous Wines of Keuka Lake

Keuka Lake...where wine making first began in the region over 150 years ago. It is the birthplace of the Finger Lakes wine industry and the home of wine innovation. This tour celebrates the wineries on Keuka who made history all those years ago, and those who continue to make history with some of the most talked about wines in the region.

Back by popular demand, Make Your Own Wineglass Tumbler with a mold-blown cup that resembles grapes. Choose from green, purple or gold. There is an additional fee for Make Your Own Glass experiences. Reservations are required. Space is limited and these experiences sell out quickly. This project is available only September 29 to October 2.

Sandblast Your Own Wineglass - Corning Museum of Glass

Create your own design on a wineglass and have it sandblasted! No reservations are required, available in the Education Lab at CMoG during the marathon weekend!

Mimosa & Chocolate Flight - The Source

Enjoy a Mimosa and Chocolate Flight for $20. Includes 4 mimosa tastings, 4 locally handcrafted chocolates and one coupon for half off a mimosa from the Bar at The Source in Corning, NY. Our chocolates are hand crafted on site, need we say more? Must be 21. Please be flattered, not offended, as we will request ID. Glass Making Experience - Hands-On Glass Studio

We offer a unique personalized experience. All ages are welcome to blow an ornament or pumpkin, and teenage/adult participants can make a paperweight. We guarantee success! Enjoy an evening with your fellow runners at the Radisson Hotel Corning. The $28.00 ticket includes all you can eat pasta buffet, salad, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. After dinner enjoy a presentation by Boston Marathon Race Director, Dave McGillivray.

The Rockwell Museum collection tells the story of the American experience through a display of stunning art about America. Get the brief introduction to The Rockwell's collection with 26.2-minute speed tours! Tours will begin every hour - included with the purchase of your admission!

Rockwell Museum Post-Race Tasting

Unwind with some of the delicious tastes of wine and other craft beverages that the region has to offer. Nothing pairs with a nice stroll through a fine art museum like sipping on a wide sampling of regional wines, beers and spirits. You're sure to find something for every taste and preference. Hors d'oeuvres and tastings are free to runners and their guests! Full bottles will be available for purchase directly from the tasting staff.
